Optional: Downloading the LAME Encoder
Windows 2000 users must use the LAME Encoder for higher bit rate support.
Windows XP users may use either Windows Media Player 10 or the LAME Encoder for higher bit rate support.
If you would like to encode MP3 files at more than 56 kbps, you'll need to use the LAME encoder. The LAME encoder is a FREE software program.
The following Blaze Audio products offer easy Drag & Drop installation of the LAME encoder: RipEditBurn Plus/RipEditBurn/Power Record/ePodcast Producer/ePodcast Creator/Wave Creator/Overdub!
To install using this method, follow these steps:
(Note: You will only have to install the LAME encoder once.)
- Go to: http://www.webhostxpress.net/~Emitiok/lame-3.96.1.zip and save the zip file on your harddisk.
- When you have finished downloading the ZIP folder, unzip it and save the file lame_enc.dll
- Now copy the file lame_enc.dll to the folder where you installed your Blaze Audio software. For example: \Program Files\Blaze Audio\RipEditBurn Plus\
Your lame_enc.dll is now installed and ready to use.
You're now ready to convert your files and to make sure that you have a professional-sounding audio file. Remember: If you're creating a podcast, make sure the bit rate is set for 128 kbps for optimum podcast quality.
That's it! Our program should now be fully enabled. If you have any questions, please let us know: support@blazeaudio.com.
